It’s that time of year again in Canada, the time of year when the winter blues hijack our food cravings making carbs extremely attractive while some try to adhere to Lent.

Tim Hortons is a coffee and doughnut chain, founded in Canada by a hockey player and his business partner, a cop.

Tim’s or Timmy’s, as it is affectionately known by the double-double set, holds an annual “roll up the rim” contest where prizes are awarded to those with a winning cup. Prizes are revealed by rolling up the rim of your disposable cup. See our previous post on Tim’s, “roll up the rim” and healthy alternatives to doughnuts.
